IES Syllabus 2019 is available. Indian Engineering Services is a department under government which manages technical works. Being a officer in such a reputed department is a dream of massive population of youth. In 2018, it was the first examination conducted on 7th January. There were 588 vacancies for which the test was conducted. In 2019, the IES exam will also be conducted in the month of January. Students who have started preparations can check the syllabus for Civil Engineering/ mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and for General Aptitude.
UPSC IES Syllabus 2019
For UPSC IES 2018 stage-I test, 500 marks questions will be asked for each of the four categories Category-I Civil Engineering, Category-II Mechanical Engineering, Category-III Electrical Engineering, Category-IV Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering as per the UPSC IES syllabus 2019 || Prelims exam pattern. As a part of the syllabus, questions will be from Engineering and Science Graduate standard. In UPSC IES Notification also, category wise syllabus is clearly mentioned.

All papers in Stage-II (Mains/Stage-II) Examination will be of 300 Marks each and 3 hours duration. Whereas, for each category, Paper 1 of 2 hours and paper 2 of 3 hours will be conducted in Stage-I (Preliminary/Stage-I) Examination. IES Selection procedure will also include Stage-III (Personality Test), UPSC IES Result 2018 will be declared later for the prelims. It seems board has not specified any particular UPSC IES syllabus 2019 regarding personality test or interview test. Where general knowledge questions from the IES/ ESE syllabus 2019 will be mainly asked in the third stage of the whole recruitment process.
Being an engineering services test, SI [Système International] units should be mentioned after writing the figures while answering questions. Note.—Candidates will be supplied with standard tables/charts in SI units in the Examination hall for reference purpose, wherever considered necessary. Also, applicants should use only International form of Indian numerals (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc.) while answering question papers as per the UPSC IES syllabus 2019.
